So, I decided to sell my house, pack up, and move myself and my dogs from Texas to Colorado Springs. Prior to making the move I visited the city a few times and met with Raquel to look and learn about the The Springs and browse potential homes. Her warmth and what can best be described as utter charm won me over immediately! She knew exactly what a single girl like me needed after I gave her a rather short list of my likes/dislikes and lifestyle. She happily drove me all over town and was always available to answer all of my questions. Once I returned home, she sent me lists of new-to-market houses on a daily basis and even took videos of the ones that drew my interest.
The best part? She has the patience of Job. She held my hand through the unavoidably stressful loan process and I’ll admit to being a bit of an emotional mess. Raquel is amazing not only as an agent but also as a person. She was very attentive and also quick to respond. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with Raquel during my recent home buying endeavor. This was my first home purchase, so I was apprehensive about all of the unknowns and trying to enter such a hot market. From our very first conversation, Raquel made me feel at ease and confident in her ability to help me find a home in a very short timeline as I was moving back to Colorado from out of state and had only 4 days for a house hunting trip. At the time I was looking, Colorado Springs was very much a seller’s market where many properties were going under contract within 2 or 3 days and selling for several thousand over asking price. We moved to Colorado Springs about 6 months ago by choice. We visited the area and it seemed to offer everything we were seeking for the next phase of our lives. We initially rented an apartment using our free-time, mostly weekends, to gain a better understanding of the area with the purpose of buying a home. Our expectation was to buy in about a year: we wanted to be able to make an informed decision.
We attended many open houses and spoke to many realtors, but Raquel immediately stood out to us. Before ever making a statement—delivering a value proposition—she asked us many questions. This not only projected that a relationship with her would be oriented on our needs, but when she recommended properties in which we might have an interest, every one of them did meet our basic needs. Every visit to our next potential home with her was an immensely valuable experience for us as we examined it against our needs with Raquel listening closely, asking more questions, and offering insights. Her demeanor was never about trying to sell us something, but selflessly trying to find the right fit for us.
Once we decided to make an offer on a home, throughout the process, from constructing the offer thru closing she remained proactively attentive to us. There are probably several dozen critical steps leading up to a closing, and Raquel’s milestone reminders were always timely, helpful, and delivered with kindness and understanding.
We can offer no suggestions on how we would improve this experience. And I would add that Patty, was a real estate broker in Pennsylvania with quite a bit of experience—not the most attractive clients for a realtor.

We recently decided to move from central Iowa to Colorado. We reached out to Raquel Robison with The Platinum Group in Colorado Springs to help us find the perfect home.
